The DRMS Literacy Team is promoting school-wide student literacy and vocabulary-building skills through various programs and strategies to be implemented this year. One of these initiatives is the presence of active Word Walls in classrooms throughout the school. These visual respresentations of classroom vocabulary encourage students to use appropriate subject-specific terms in class. Students become active participants as they use these terms and contribute new words to the wall throughout the school year.
The media center word wall contains a variety of meda-related words that pertain to both literacy and research. Do you know what these words mean?
