Today, the media center was transformed into a living wax museum. Historical figures, such as Albert Einstein and Marie Currie, as well as contemporary celebrities like Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah Winfrey were in attendance. Eighth-grade students culminated their Social Studies unit by presenting biographical information they researched about a famous person. Many "dressed the part," presented a backboard detailing facts about the person's life and memorized a one-minute speech that they shared when participants pushed their "start" button. Parents, teachers and Social Studies classes from throughout the school visited the museum to learn about each individual.
